Northumberland Heath vs Crofton Albion FC - And that’s how you do it! What a performance from our lads today in the Beckenham cup. From start to finish we were the better team. A goal against the run of play didn’t rattle us and our quality showed in the end. We book ourselves a place in yet another Semi Final.

Unsavoury scenes from some of Crofton Albion fc players and Manager, during and after the game. Should hang heads in shame. Complaints will be put into the BASLFL and county FA and I’m sure the correct action will be taken. Being aggressive as a grown men whilst children and supporters are around isn’t very big or brave! Saying ‘you don’t care’ whilst children are present unfortunately for you doesn’t give you a reason. We won’t even start on the ringers you were possible playing! As a family club we encourage our youth to support our seniors, children went home shook and upset because of actions today. We go again next Saturday against Falconwood u23s and look forward to a well mannered competitive game.

Northumberland Heath vs Falconwood U23s - Not much to say about this game, it was a struggle, the boys just couldn’t seem to get into the swing of things. They played football but not at the standards we all know and love. They are very lucky to be have even got a goal from the managers point of view. The opposition had the better game overall and really laid everything out on the floor. We did thankfully end the game with a draw but will see what happens when we meet again in 2 weeks time.

Northumberland Heath vs Greenwich Allstars - For a friendly… What an exciting and competitive game! The boys showed us a great and strong performance, so much togetherness from them all. Both teams turned up and put their all into the game, everything was an equal, it really was anyones game… Thankfully we came up on top in the end but we couldn’t of asked for a better friendly. Thanks Allstars.

Northumberland Heath vs Latin United - On reflection this game was overall scrappy… the first half wasn’t going our way and we entered half time behind our opposition. When we returned for the second half we made some subs and had a motivational chat from the gaffer that gave the guys the boost, the push, the motivation they needed to see through the second half. Reece scored a beauty from 30 yards and Jerome flicked in a cheeky one! Allowing us to end the game 2-1. We know we can play better than this but we made it, we won. Friendly next week, let’s hope it’s less stressful.

Northumberland Heath vs Hayden Youth Association First - After what felt like the worst day of our lives and suffering our first loss, we were determined to bring it back, reboot our streak and lay it all out on the pitch. Last weekends match was cancelled due to weather therefore we had a well earned rest. We stepped onto the pitch knowing what we had to do however… We just couldn’t seem to pull ourselves together, it took a while before we showed exactly what we could do and as we went into the second half, we were fighting! We were already loosing by 1, so we had to give it everything to be able to pull it out the bag and that’s exactly what we did. coming up to 60 minutes and we were 3 goals to 1! It felts amazing to be back where we belong, in front, banging in goal after goal, doing what we do best. I think we lost ourselves in the beginning, still wounded, struggling with mental block but we got there, and I truly hope for the lads sake, it’s here to stay. Well done guys!

Northumberland Heath vs Blackheath FC - This was a quarter final match of the Queen Mary Cup 2024-2025 and we didn’t expect the game to end this way… The game started with a delightful score from the opposition, but we shortly caught up with a scrabble right next to the goal, which followed by another but was disallowed. We stood fairly confident at half time with the odds dispatched equally. I personally say we were mostly dominant the whole game but they just got the upper hand. They went on the score a flukey second goal a short while before we got given a penalty, which we successfully took, making the game again and equal playing field but the opposition move swiftly back to their end and got their third goal. Our guys pushed, they continued to fight but a win for us today was not meant to be. This game is our first loss EVER! (league, cup & friendly’s) We are filled with frustration and disappointment but we knew we had to have a loss somewhere along the way, we just had jar full of beginners luck. Now we look forward, move on and focus on the next match when we have a revisit with Falconwood U23’s.

Northumberland Heath vs Falconwood u23 - From the off this game was a challenge, the opposition scored within 5 minutes, but we were optimistic for the follow 85 minutes… Half time came and we hadn’t got a goal. Looking at the past we should have been way up there by now! The boss let the boys know during the break that their performance wasn’t up to standard so they guys upped their game in the second half, yet with the opposition confidently in front of us we still had a bit of trouble creating anything until the thankful 87th minute, where the game changed, we scored! We were back and knowing this was a third round match that a draw could not be the result, extra time was upon us. The boss briefed the boys before returning to the pitch and they had to put their best foot forward to walk away with a win and with that and all the positive reinforcement from the big guy they went a brought it home with a final score of 1-3! Hard game for sure lads but you knew what you had to do and you got there in the end, heads high, on to the next.

Northumberland Heath vs Royal Greenwich Borough - Our game against Royal Greenwich Borough started off lively with the opposition having the upper hand but after around 20 minutes our lads changed gear and took control, which eventually became a big problem for our opposition and resulted in us finishing with a 0-4 WIN! Our lads played well, despite the slight challenging beginning, they pulled it together, kept their minds clear and smashed it out the park! Semi-Finals are now in sight! Falconwood next week, check back for the finer details of that match next week.

Northumberland Heath vs New Park FC - It was a fairly dominant performance! A 6-2 win is great, especially when the team shows clear improvement from the previous week. Controlling possession and playing our style of football is a great sign of progress, and it's always satisfying to see the hard work paying off with goals. Hopefully, the momentum continues into future matches!

Northumberland Heath vs Equinoccial Fc Reserves - We pushed through despite not having our best performance, which is a sign of a solid team. Even when the conditions aren't ideal, securing a win is always the main goal. A 3-1 victory with a comfortable margin is still an ok result. Hopefully, the team can build on this and perform even better in the next match!

Northumberland Heath vs Beckenham Junior - So that’s 16 wins in 16 games (League, friendly & Cup) after today’s visit from Beckenham Junior! Most people would think Manager Danny would be happy with that 9th straight win, winning 3-0 on the day but that would be wrong.

Danny’s thoughts after the game; ‘We started brightly for about two minutes then the game just became messy. We played at the level of the opposition only showing very small glimpses of what we were capable of. Numerous chances were missed…. Nearly as many as bad passes were made. A penalty save from our keeper in the first half and a constructive half time chat wasn’t enough to get the players going. All in all I’m disappointed how we lowered our standards. Against better opponents you can very easily lose that game.’

Northumberland Heath vs Blackheath FC - What a wet game, the wettest game yet! We had a sloppy first half, the opposition got the first goal, but once we regrouped, made some changes and got back onto the pitch, we were back to what we do best, playing the game, playing the field, scoring those goals. Our man of the match got 3 out of the 4 goals during the game and another was cheekily snuck in by number 15. Overall, we could have done better, but either way we came out on top. Let’s see what happens in next weekends game against Beckenham Town Junior, whom we have already faced back in their home ground on the 5th October. Come back for another update throughout the week.

Northumberland Heath vs Old Pepys - Well let’s just say history repeated itself, It was a game of two halves they got the first goal but we dominated the majority of the game gaining 5 goals before they somehow managed to sneak one in just at the end but we were already cruising so there was no way back for them. Anyways, onto the next, it’s going to be interesting, much more interesting… stay tuned for the next update.

Beckenham United Fc vs Northumberland Heath - What an intense game! This game was a challenge, these guys are just behind us on the leader board, but of course, they were no match for the Heath… They had a very outspoken keeper, with a strong defence, a pitch on a hill plus we had ref who pointed out everything, but he was a great guy. We finally took the lead shortly before half time, which was just what we needed. The second half started and the domination was equal, the play was fair (not that they would agree) and the challenges continued. They managed to get a goal bringing the game to one all, leaving us with just minutes to spare until the final whistle. As we headed towards extra time, we thankfully got our second goal, which led us to our victory once again! We heard them say, and I quote… ‘they ain’t nothing special’, We heard them say ‘Up the Beck’, I’m sorry, there’s only one team to say ‘up the’ anything and that’s us! UP THE HEATH! Hard challenge today lads, but once again pulled it out the bag. Who’s next?

Northumberland Heath vs Equinoccial FC Reserves - Can you believe it took us 41 minutes & 41 seconds to get our first goal against these guys? And then 3 minutes later, we got another! and both were open goals, don’t believe me? Check the Veo, poor goalie judgement for sure. Heading into the second half, we knew we had this, we knew we just had to keep pushing. They came back and tried their best, even if they were pulling fake offside flags, we smashed it out the park! It was so close to being a clean sheet for our keeper but in the last minute and a free kick to the opposition they managed to get it in with centimetres between the cross bar and our keepers finger tips. However, having said that, what’s 1 goal when you’ve got 8. XD. Onto the next away game boys, in West Wickham!

Sporting Club Thamesmead vs Northumberland Heath - Ahhh, what a game, a very muddy game… We well and truly dominated, yet was definitely the most gut wrenching game since we’ve started this season. We’ve played this team before and can say they definitely played better defensively but fell short of this by the end of the game. This game included us having a change of keeper, a big thank you for the player who stepped up and saved a good few attempts, a game that included us dropping down to 10 men after a player got put in the sin bin for 10 minutes! However… This was a game that we again pulled out the bag with a cracking 2-5 win! All the lads played well and played great football. Well done lads.

Old Pepys FC vs Northumberland Heath - Hmmm… Let’s say it was a game of two halves (wet and muddy halves), the first half, then the second half… It was a fairly equal playing field, the game was fairly dominated until later in the game where we held most possession… Shortly before half time we had a player go down due to a collision, which called for an early subbing. As we hit half time it was a draw, 1-1 and it was anyones game. The guys switched it up a gear in the second part and popped in two more goals, so we came away with a 3 to 1 win and that was the result we wanted. Another game in the bag. NEXTTT!

Beckenham Town Junior vs Northumberland Heath - WE KEEP ON ROLLING! Today we come up against an opponent that had also managed to go 3 wins from 3 in the league. The game started a little delayed due to a late start with the teams on the pitch before us. A sloppy start see the home team take the lead. This was a wake up call for the boys and they bounced back strongly taking a 2-1 lead into the break. The half time chat was a quiet affair with the team knowing full well they was playing well under the expected levels required. The second half see the lads pull their socks up and sorted themselves out. 6 goals and complete control of the game see us through to a 8-1 victory.

Equinoccial FC Reserves vs Northumberland Heath - What a match! There was so much going on, they took full advantage of that pitch. The first half was on the edge of your seat gaming, there was so many chances and so much play, you couldn’t take your eyes off the field. The guys put on their best defence mode and fairly it was an equal playing field, until we was awarded a penalty, we thought our luck had changed… however, we weren’t successful. Half time came and we gathered our thoughts and put them into action in the second half. A short while after kick off we got the goal we had been waiting for! Then about half way into the second half we got goal, after goal, after goal, after goal... 4 in 20 minutes! Which gave us a total of 0-5, Our goalie got his first clean sheet of the League. Another win for the books!

Langley Park vs Northumberland Heath (Cup Match) - What a game! The opposition played well and started with a cracking goal… this was their only goal (just saying) but they tried and they put in some great leg work, our boys had them all over the pitch, our boys smashed it! Great communication, some outstanding passes and 4 incredible goals. In the first half we were bursting with confidence and ready to kick this game out the park, when they scored, we were disappointment but it made us focus and want that win! Our goalie saved some amazing chances and giving a little growl every now and again as he raced to get his hand on that ball! And to be fair to their goalie, he also saved an amazing amount of chances, we definitely should have been a few more goals up. We moved onto the second half where we continued domination, the other team never got a first touch of their or our throw ins and not many of their goal kicks either… we took every opportunity we could and climbed ourselves to victory once again! Game 7 in the bag with yet again another WIN! Well done lads.

New Park vs Northumberland Heath - Well, let’s start this news update with ‘that was an eventful match!’. To start with the opposition arrived with just 6 men, it was close to being called off, thankfully for them another player arrived which meant the game could go ahead. 7 Players against 11… Surely they knew their chances? However, in no time the match was underway and as predicted we were dominating the field, holding them in their half resulting in us getting goal after goal, it seemed like an easy win. If the game continued like this surely they would fold, and we would win by forfeit… unfortunately this did not happen because around 20 minutes into the first half New Park had their prayers answered, with 4 more players appearing along the sidelines, some what ready, to join in and help fight back the 5-0 score advantage we already had. After a short water break the game continued, and so did our domination, they challenged us a tad more and we had to cover a lot more of the field but that didn’t stop us! At half time we were up 9-0! Quickly, we returned to the starting formation and the second half begun. New Park were more defensive than the first half but still every few minutes we were scoring left, right and centre! I don’t think their goalie has ever worked so hard, or well tried to work so hard. Around 10 minutes before full time a situation involving one of the lads taking out someone from behind, resulted in a penalty for the other team! The guys were gutted especially when they saw that ball go straight into the back of the net! No matter how good our goalie is, he was never getting that! The game moved forward and we came back and added more goals to the tally, totalling our goal count to 13-1! As the full time clock was counting down, a few players from each team got hot headed and a painful collusion occurred, resulting in the ref calling the game and blowing his whistle for full time! Another win for the books, keeping us at the top of the leader board for this league… We are looking forward to the next one! Bring it on.

Northumberland Heath vs Latin United - First League Match of the season and the boys season started on a HIGH! In the first half we held domination, we scored a whooping 5 goals before half time and we thought the rest of the game would be a walk in the park. The other team did manage to sneak one in, but hey, it was only one. During the second half the opposition did give us more of a challenge but they weren’t able to score against the force of our goalies. We were lucky enough to conceded another two goals making the score at the end of match 7-1. just moments before full time, we did have a player who got an injury to the ankle, the injury was a result of a tackle and the player received a yellow card for his play. Besides that, they all played incredibly well and is a fantastic start to the season!

Ellis Athletics vs Northumberland Heath - This team just know how to make their manager smile. We were welcomed to Norman’s Park by Ellis Athletic for the last friendly before the season begins and what a way to end a long pre season. From kick off we controlled the game. The first half see us score an amazing 6 goals with plenty of missed opportunities missed. The half time team talk was full of praise with one clear 2nd half objective ‘dominant possession’ The second half see us play keep ball for the majority. Keeping the ball within the midfield and making life difficult for the opposition. A set piece from Ellis lead to an own goal being awarded towards the end of the game. Overall it was an amazing performance with plenty of positives. Bring on the start of the season!

Northumberland Heath vs Sporting Club Thamesmead Reserves - This match was held at our new home grounds for the first time. The other team seemed to be a slight challenge at the beginning but during the game our boys got it in the bag, we had not 1 but 2 cracking goals from Aaron and another sneaky 1 from Brandon sent us flying ahead. They did manage to concede 1 goal throughout their time on the field but we won’t talk about that. After unfortunately loosing an amazing amount of balls into gardens and bushes leaving us ball-less for the first time ever, the opposition did not want to loose any of theirs to which they then ended the game just short of full time. I say that’s a good way to walk away with a win! Well done boys, you worked hard and it paid off.
